Tatiana Buhler, MA Counselling Psychology

Therapist | Executive Coach (DBT, CBT, EFFT, IFS, EFT, ACT, EMDR)

About me

I came to this work through both lived experience and training. It was not a straight line or a tidy one. After graduating from Simon Fraser University, I spent years in marketing and business development. That work gave me insight into leadership pressure, performance expectations, and how success on paper does not always reflect what is happening underneath.

That understanding became personal after marrying a serial entrepreneur. Together, we lived the long hours, financial risk, uncertainty, prayer (lots of prayer!), and the invisible sacrifices families make to support a business dream. Along the way, I also had the privilege of walking alongside many other entrepreneurial families and saw firsthand how easily the pressures of work spilled into home life shaping relationships. That perspective ultimately shaped the direction of my work. I completed a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, graduating summa cum laude, with the intention of integrating clinically grounded therapy into spaces shaped by leadership and responsibility. Leadwell Therapy grew from that vision.

I work with people navigating conflict or change, those who feel stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns such as burnout or addiction. I take a whole-person approach, recognizing that work, relationships, physical health, faith, and personal wellbeing often influence one another in meaningful ways.

My clinical training across both Child and Youth Mental Health and private practice provided opportunities to work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I enjoy working with both adults and children and may incorporate play therapy or sand tray therapy when helpful. Whether I am working with a child, an executive, a couple, or a family, my goal is to understand the broader context of a person’s life and help them move toward greater clarity, connection, and choice.

My approach is relational and trauma-informed. I meet you where you are and offer a safe space where you can be seen and heard. Sometimes that means sitting with discomfort, and other times there is humour as we celebrate the wins and pay attention to the things that bring you joy.

I show up to this work humble and human. I am a therapist, an entrepreneur, an author (in progress!), a coffee lover, a wife, a mother of four, and a lifelong learner, which means I understand growth as something lived, not just studied. I am trained in CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, ERP, EFT, EMDR, and the EOS business model. Alongside ongoing professional development, I collaborate with supervisors regularly to ensure ethical and high-quality care for my clients. Receipts for insurance reimbursement will be available starting Aug 2026.

In-person & remote options

My office is located in Abbotsford, and I support clients throughout Vancouver, Langley, and the Lower Mainland. I also offer secure online therapy across British Columbia, making counselling accessible beyond the Fraser Valley region.

In addition to therapy services, I provide life and executive coaching across Canada and United States, supporting clients navigating leadership stress, burnout, identity transitions, relationship challenges, and high-pressure decision-making.

“Tatiana is a gifted and caring person who genuinely has her clients’ best interests at heart. She is confident, engaging, and creates a sense of ease and safety quickly.”
